Operations Status
Mountain Lake is a remote residential facility. We are committed to providing a safe and full-service living and working environment year-round. On occasion we need to restrict access or impose regulations on station users. Any special operations, procedures, or station regulations (e.g. seasonal, severe weather closure, emergency on site) will be posted here as quickly as we are able.
Current Residential, Program, and Activity Modifications:
- Offseason: MLBS is open by appointment only. Access road gates are locked. Vehicular access is closed without prior arrangement. Research support, housing, and facilities access are available but limited.
