The Walton Lecture returns! Mountain Lake Biological Station announces the 33rd annual Walton Lecture event to be held Monday, June 30th and Tuesday, July 1st at 8:00 PM. The Walton Lecture series highlights prominent researchers in the fields of ecology, field biology, animal behavior, and evolution, and provides a forum for discussion of topics related to ongoing station research. This year’s event features Drs. Joan Strassmann and David Queller, of Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Queller will be speaking June 30th on Cooperation and conflict in social amoebae.
Dr. Strassman will be speaking July 1st on Guns and butter in microbial farming interactions.

The lectures will be held in Lewis Auditorium at Mountain Lake Biological Station, with receptions to follow in the Director’s Cottage.
