Organism of the Day
A Regular Natural History Essay Series

Organism of the Day displays appear several times weekly in the foyer of Lewis Hall, and has been catalogued online beginning in 2011. The tradition was started by then Station Director Henry Wilbur in the 1990s, and in 2010 Wilbur passed the responsibility for Organism of the Day to life-long station resident Hazel Galloway. Thanks for contributions and assistance from Henry Wilbur, Mary Jane Epps, Zack Murrell, and all others who have lent their expertise to this project. All organisms were collected and released or returned unharmed.
